Monofilament fishing line is relatively strong and cheap and has many potential uses outside of commercial fishing and sport angling. We have a variety of regular customers; from those with an arts and crafts back ground through to mechanical engineers. We also supply farmers, window and stage designers, 3D printers, cable layers, and modern artists to name just a few. For commercial fishermen, the choice of monofilament line is very important. Lower quality, inferior lines will result in poor fishing, lost fish and lost fishing time. It is important to choose lines that will fish well and last the distance whilst also remaining cost effective. We hold a selection of top quality lines in stock that will cover almost all fish eventualities and we can also supply alternative non-stock items through our extensive network of suppliers. Please note that due to size and weight, bulk spools of line might incur extra shipping costs.
4) Triplefish This is a premium monofilament, made in Germany. which has been the favourite of local handline fishermen for many years. Triplefish is a very tough monofilament that stands up to the stresses and strains loaded onto fishing gear through constant use, like winding the line full of fish, through stripping gear. A Clear, Perlon monofilament that is a good all around line for any type of Fishing. Unlike nylon, which is weakened by being stretched. Perlon mono restores itself 400-500 times per cycle test. It does not stretch any more of less than regular mono does.
Main use for Triplefish monofilament: 48lb, 62lb, 81lb & 92lb – Mackerel traces. 250lb – Mainline & longline.
Asso Leader is one of the strongest leader monofilament materials available on the
market, yet it has an outstanding softness.
The high-grade Japanese material, coupled with the state of the art extrusion process
makes it the ultimate branch line material for long lines and trolling leaders.
Asso Leader Monofilament is also perfect for making up the mainline for mackerel
sets. It has a top strength to diameter ratio, it is crystal clear, and it is super
soft. Special manufacturing processes mean the line will lay flat - making it easier
to handle - and give the line a relative high stretch, meaning it gives lots and
lots before it breaks.
Asso Leader Monofilament is supplied in large coils.
If it is being used for longline snoods then it is often best to cut the coil once
with sharp scissors to leave a bundle of snood lines approx. 3 feet long. If preferred
we are able to wind the line onto a spool for a small extra cost
Main uses of Asso Leader Monofilament: 0.6mm, 0.8mm & 1mm – Snoods for long line fishing. 0.8mm,
1.0mm, 1.2mm & 1.4mm – Mainline for Mackerel traces 1.4mm, 1.6mm & 1.8mm – Monofilament
